What makes it Rajwadi is the cut rather than the embroidery: a close chest, a seam at the natural waist, and panels (kalis) set in below so the skirt opens out to mid-calf. Cut to your own pattern in silk, brocade or velvet, with a high collar and a stole.

More kalis give a fuller flare; taller frames carry the longest lengths best.
